Last October we held Global Children’s 4th Annual Silent Auction.
In years past this event was held in New York City. With our recent personal
move to Vermont along came Global Children’s move as well.
This event was held at the Brattleboro Country Club. We had a beautiful
variety of art donated by artists from around the country. Community
support was greatly appreciated and we hope to grow this event every year.
The evening started out nicely with wonderful volunteers, a kids table to
help entertain the little ones and some delicious hors’douvers and drinks.
As we began to introduce our programs in Cambodia via a fun PowerPoint
presentation we lost all electricity. Thanks to the practicality of
Vermonters most folks had flashlights in their pockets and purses and
we pushed through the next hour and half with romantic candles, little
flashlights and a great sense of humor. The evening was a success.
We would love to invite you to join next September for Global Children’s
5th annual fundraiser. Whether you would like to volunteer, make an art
donation, simply join us to learn about our programs or bid on artwork,
please keep this event on your calendar and help us grow!
